Green Super-Smoothie to fight the flu

It is that time of the year – everyone seems to cough, sneeze and feel unwell. Me, too (caught the office bug, as always) – but what better way is there to fight the flu than with a rich smoothie full of antioxidants and nutrients.

I created my own green smoothie recipe that I can share with you today, but be prepared: it is a proper green smoothie! Some alternatives are shown within the recipe if you’re a green smoothie beginner 🙂

So, let’s get started!

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 banana
  • 1/2 juice of an orange
  • 1/3 avocado (makes it super creamy)
  • handful of baby spinach leaves
  • 1 handful of grapes (if you prefer green grapes, go for it)
  • 1/2 leek (replace this with 1/2 apple if you want the smoothie to be less ‘green’ and more sweet – but don’t forget to peel the apple so the smoothie doesn’t turn brown)
  • 2 peeled carrots

This is how you do it:

Pop it into your blender with some water and just press start.

The recipe is enough for 2 glasses of smoothie.
